DOWA was founded in 1884 as a mining and smelting company. Since its establishment, DOWA has evolved its operations in a number of directions in step with the changing times, to the extent of forging a unique recycling-oriented business structure that consists of five core operations. DOWA is now providing its services with a commitment to building a sustainable society under its mission of contributing to creating an affluent, recycling-oriented society through our business activities worldwide.
The DOWA Group is currently pursuing “Midterm Plan 2020”. The DOWA Group is expanding its operations in growth fields and regions, and is continuously strengthening its business foundations by aggressively investing management resources under the basic policies described in the plan of expanding business in growth markets and increasing the competitiveness of existing operations.
The DOWA Group aspires to consistently meet the expectations of its stakeholders by continuing to steadily execute its growth initiatives. At the same time, the Group is determined to address social issues in Japan and overseas through its business activities.
